2018 WINTER CLASSES  

Beginning Adult Pottery on the Electric Potter’s Wheel: Cost is $105 +$30 for materials and firings

∼Mondays, January 1st – February 5th 2018  9am – 11am or 6pm – 8pm∼ 

  • Learn to make the basic vessels on the pottery wheel. We’ll start with mugs move on to bowls then progress to lidded containers and vases.
  • Learn different glazing techniques and different surface treatments.
  • The last class period will be used to glaze any unglazed pieces.

Advanced Adult Pottery on the Electric Potter’s Wheel: Cost is $105 + $30 for materials and firings

∼Tuesdays, January 2nd – February 6th 2018  9am – 11am or 6pm – 8pm∼ 

~Thursdays, January 4th – February 8th 2018 9am – 11 am or 6pm – 8 pm~

  • Build on the concepts learned in the beginning class. Make larger vessels, learn to make 4 similar vessels, learn to make altered pieces from wheel thrown pottery, and learn different handle techniques
  • Learn different glazing techniques and different surface treatments.
  • Learn to trim vessels in leather hard stage.

Creating A Set of Dishes on the Electric Potter’s Wheel: Cost is 105 + $45 for materials and firings

~Wednesdays, January 3rd – February 7th 2018 9am – 11am or 6pm – 8pm~

  • Create a set of dishes using the electric potter’s wheel
  • Plates, bowls, mugs, tumblers, serving bowl, salt and pepper shakers, a butter dish and a water pitcher 

Children’s Pottery on the Electric Wheel, ages 7-14:  Cost is $105 + $30 for materials and firings ~Saturdays January 6th – February 10th 10am – noon  Or 1pm – 3 pm.

  • Learn to make the basic vessels on the pottery wheel. We’ll start with mugs move on to bowls then progress to lidded containers and vases.
  • Learn different glazing techniques and different surface treatments
  • Last class period we will glaze anything left to be glazed

Parents are welcome to stay and watch/ help but it is not necessary.

Date Nights

Friday and Saturdays 6 pm –

Bring your best friend, sister, brother, child, spouse, or a group!

Experience how to throw vessels on the electric potter’s wheel.

Cost is $10 an hour per person + $5 material fee per person.  People tend to make two – six items on a date.

Spent some time here, wonderful place. Full of creative energy. Just lets your creative juices flow. I made a lot of slab work and coil work. Great time. Will be a constant visitor. Thank you Kitty for all your patience!
