2017 August to September Classes  

Beginning Adult Pottery on the Electric Wheel: Cost is $105 + $30 for materials and firings 

∼Mondays, August 7th- September 11th 2017  10:00 am – 12:00 pm∼

  • Learn to make the basic vessels on the pottery wheel. We’ll start with mugs move on to bowls then progress to lidded containers and vases.
  • Learn different glazing techniques and different surface treatments. Experience a Raku firing on the last class period.
  • All pieces of artwork will be ready to take home by the last class.

Advanced Adult Pottery on the Electric Wheel: Cost is $105 +$30 for materials and firings

∼Mondays, August 7th – September 11th 2017  6 pm – 8 pm∼

  • Learn to make pottery taller and larger around
  • Learn to make platters
  • Learn to make sets of pottery

∼Wednesdays, August 9th – September 13th 10 am – 12 pm∼

  • Learn to make the basic vessels on the pottery wheel. We’ll start with mugs move on to bowls then progress to lidded containers and vases.

Children’s Pottery on the Electric Wheel, ages 7-12:  Cost is $105 + $30 for materials and firings

~Thursdays, August 10th – September 14th 4pm – 6 pm~

  • Learn to make the basic vessels on the pottery wheel. We’ll start with mugs move on to bowls then progress to lidded containers and vases.
  • Learn different glazing techniques and different surface treatments. Experience a Raku firing on the last class period.
  • All pieces of artwork will be ready to take home by the last class

Beginning Teen’s Pottery on the Electric Wheel, ages 13 – 17: Cost is $105 + $30 for materials and firings

Thursdays, August 10th – September 14th 6 pm – 8 pm~

  • Learn to make the basic vessels on the pottery wheel. We’ll start with mugs move on to bowls then progress to lidded containers and vases.
  • Learn different glazing techniques and different surface treatments. Experience a Raku firing on the last class period.
  • All pieces of artwork will be ready to take home by the last class

Children’s Saturday Workshops ages 4 – 6 :Cost is $20 per Saturday per child which includes instruction, materials and firings

~Saturdays, August 12th – September 16th 1pm to 3pm~

We’ll try a little bit of everything in these 6 weeks.

  • Making bowls on the electric wheel
  • Building an herb garden using the extruder
  • Making mugs on the electric wheel
  • Making a personalized tile for a wall in your room using the slab roller and imprints from found objects
  • Making fairy houses and castles using a preformed cylinder by cutting windows and doors and adding details
  • Decorate an animal or candle holder to fire in the Raku kiln.

Parents are welcome to stay and watch/ help.

Date Nights

Friday and Saturdays 6 pm –

Bring your best friend, sister, brother, child, spouse, or a group!

Experience how to throw vessels on the electric potter’s wheel.

Cost is $10 per person per hour. People tend to make two or three items on a date.

Dragonfire ceramics

Spent some time here, wonderful place. Full of creative energy. Just lets your creative juices flow. I made a lot of slab work and coil work. Great time. Will be a constant visitor. Thank you Kitty for all your patience!
